Any real life places with Pokemon names that you come upon on a random day to day basis? |D

I'm battling my way through the Battle Frontier and doing all right - I've easily defeated all the Brains for the Silver Symbol. However, opponents become more difficult with each round and my progress is slowing down. I notice that competitive battling movesets don't work as well there when you're only using three or less Pokemon in battle. Has anyone else done better with a different team?

I'm currently using a Physical Attacker and two Annoyers/Tanks, but with this generation damage is so great that my tanks often don't survive long enough. And I make use of high IVs and EV training.

 Hey guys. My friend recently lent me Pokémon Channel (the one where you can get a Jirachi upon completion)
Through semi-clever tactics I hope to get loads of Jirachis. Saving just before Jirachi on memory card A, copying save to memory card B, getting Jirachi with memory card B, deleting the save, then copying the save from memory card A onto B again.
Has anybody out there tried this but failed? If this works I'll probably just give them away to you guys for popularity  cool Pokémon  just because I'm kind.
Also I am in need of a good team and being the annoying strategist that I am, I feel sick if I haven't got a good plan. So please, tell me your opinions on a good team.

So a couple of months ago I decided to make a good enough team of pokemon that could try to take on Palmer (Diamond version not Platinum.) From those encounters I've learned that his Rhyperior is an jerk, his Milotic is a hoe, and his Dragonite was a bastard. I get up a team of Metagross, Ninjask, and Salamance and get to his last pokemon (Dragonite) just to lose to some status effect. Now I read up a bit on some and end up with a team of Gengar, Dragonite, and Snorlax. Then I lose again. Fast forward 5 attempts later. I get a team of Starmie, Ninjask, and Tyranitar. Starmie OHKO his first one, 2HKOs his Milotic, and then OHKOs his Dragonite. I am dumbfounded how easy that was considering how much he screwed me over before. Sweet revenge never felt so good though.

Yesterday's day of blah snowballed into today. Got up at 5am, the lack of traffic meant the drive only took half as long as I expected so I wandered the CBD at just after 6 until I found a coffee shop that was open and tried to kill time. Finally, 3 out of my 4 team members showed up and I started them off at 7am while I made frantic phone calls trying to find the 4th, who never answered any of my texts or voicemails... the manager back at the office apparently spoke to her eventually, he was trying to call her every 15 minutes for at least 2 hours though before she finally answered and said she was 'sick'. I had to dick around with parking (15 minute loading zones were the only street parking while I waited for the pay parking to open) and because we were a man down I had to team up with one of the new kids to show him the ropes, which would have been fine except he whinged the entire time about being tired and hungry and thirsty and feeling dizzy because I wouldn't let him go eat something. He also got rather miffed when I told him to 'suck it up Princess', but it's so not my problem if someone opts in for an early morning shift and forgets to have breakfast. I had to pay $50 to park my car for 2 hours, and we distibuted less than half of the assigned material. And then I had to drive home in the middle of the working day via the office. I NEVER drive in the city and I hate CBD traffic and stupid Sydney drivers so I was very cranky when I got home.

Things got a little better once I got home at least. Spent a bunch of time on hold with the uni but my core enrolment for next year is fiiiiinally sorted out. Just waiting on approval for my final elective, I have written approval from the cross-faculty subject coordinator, just waiting with my fingers crossed for yet another eRequest to go through and have it added to my study plan. Anyhow, I watched some more Stargate: Universe which I am actually quite enjoying, then almost fell asleep on the couch during Watchmen (which has such a seriously awesome soundtrack, it still always surprises me). And more knitting. Yay knitting.

Today I checked the GTS; I posted up a Zapdos, hunting for a level 50+ Vespiqueen. Not a bad trade, right? Considering the Zapdos was nicknamed RYANCORTME!?

In came a shiny Vespiqueen. I freaked out with excitement... Then I looked at it's stats. It's level 54, caught at the pokémon league, and it's ot? AARON. With all of Aaron's Vespiqueen's moves. *headdesk* The trainer stole Aaron's Vespiqueen >.<

So, I wanted to spark a discussion about the worst hacks you've ever recieved over the GTS. Maybe a shiny level 1 Arceus swam into your inbox? Or a Mewtwo caught in Hoenn at level 45?

So someone traded me a few pokemon on Bulbagarden, then they wanted to battle. I felt obliged to do so, because they clearly got the shit-end of the stick on the trade. I know next to nothing about battling, so I'm just sitting here, waiting to die. I feel like a bastard, because my Internet failed right at the end of the battle, when he was about to win. D: So we started again. :/

Now I've a mind to make an EVd battle team! I assume one's team is best set up as thus? I really don't know.

One physical sweeper (+Speed demon)

One trapper/tank
And one evil little bastard

Once I know this, I may be able to cobble something together. Damn, but I hate battling. I really do.

Brew Dog Paradox Smokehead

It's an imperial stout aged in islay whisky casks. This is a beer for scotch lovers. It is so delightfully peaty without an overpowering smoky taste. I thought it was fantastic. Jay is decidedly against beer aged in vessels used previously for other alcoholic beverages. Sad panda
